The Aloft hotel, part of Starwood brands, is a trendy hotel with fresh colors and a very social setup. Rooms are large and spacious, have energizing colors and large showers. Large flat-panel televisions are wall mounted to give more space. All rooms have white noise machines to soothe you to sleep, and an alarm clock that slowly brightens before sounding off to ease you awake. This hotel can fit a variety of groups with a spacious lobby for relaxing or meeting, onsite bar, indoor pool with music played underwater and an outdoor courtyard between the pool and bar areas. This hotel supports green initiatives as well, and gives you two extra pillows in every room (automatically). This is one of my new favorite hotel brands.PROS: Trendy, good service, large rooms, beautiful setup (think of the W hotel's little sister).CONS: Breakfast not included in rate, but for sports teams using a predetermined amount of rooms, breakfast is usually provided.
