Property Description
Rough River Dam State Resort Park is one of the highlights of the Rough River Lake area, and is convenient to Louisville, Elizabethtown and Evansville. The park opened in 1962 and has undergone many changes and additions through the years. The park's wonderful accommodations feature 40 lodge rooms and 17, 2-bedroom cottages. All of these sit conveniently around the great park activities. The lodge rooms all overlook the lake and have private balconies or patios. Our cottages come fully stocked, and provide perfect group accommodations for almost every type event. If you are looking for delicious food and a great atmosphere, look no further than our Grayson's Landing Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner during peak season months. The restaurant also overlooks the beautiful rippling water of Rough River Lake. Enjoy your favorite glass of wine, beer, or cocktail with your meal, easily acquired by our helpful servers. During the height of the season, buffets are available. On most Friday nights thru the summer, music floats through the air, and patio dining is available for our Concert in the Park Series. These free concerts are open to the public, and lawn seating is optional. There are courtesy docks for boaters interested in dining with us. Groups of all sizes have a home here at Rough River Dam State Resort Park. The park comfortably accommodates business meetings, company retreats, holiday banquets, reunions, weddings, and many other special events. The park has multiple outdoor rental spaces including a pavilion, gazebo, and tent. Our Falls of Rough Convention Center can accommodate up to 300 guests banquet style, and the room can be divided into two separate rooms to accommodate different event needs. The Terrace Room meeting space can also accommodate 75 people (depending on set up), and we can extend seating to the adjoining balcony. For groups up to 40, our private dining room is perfect for groups needing a little privacy for meals. The Private dining room is also great for small meetings. Rough River Dam State Resort Park has many recreational opportunities including tennis, volleyball, walking areas, nature trails, mini-golf, picnic areas, fishing, , basketball, a public beach and pool for swimming, disc-golf, and much more. Our recreation department holds weekend hourly summer activities for lodging guests. The park's marina has pontoon rentals available, and 199 slips to accommodate boater's needs. Our park airport sits conveniently close. Fly-in groups are common to our park. Shuttle service from the airport can be requested, but walking from the airport is just a “hop and a skip” away. Our frequent pilots often fly in for a meal, or stay the night at the lodge. As with all Kentucky's Resort Parks, there is always something to do and enjoy. Come by plane, boat, bike, or car.
