Situated at the heart of Ribera del Duero, the hotel Castilla Termal Monastery of Valbuena – the first spa with 5 stars status in Castilla y León – is located in one the best preserved Cistercian monastery of the 12th century in Europe. Become in an exclusive touristic complex, in the Golden Mile (Milla de Oro) of the Ribera del Duero, the Monastery of Santa María de Valbuena provides 79 rooms, all of them of high quality, (25 double rooms, 22 deluxe double rooms, 29 junior suites and 3 special suites). All the rooms preserve the charm and elegance of the 12th century monastery where are located. This historical environment offers a modern decoration, integrated with the vintage furniture without breaking the harmony and identity of this impressive building. Including free Wi-Fi, bath robe, slippers and shower cap, bath products made with mineral-medicinal water of our Olmedo spa, selection of pillows. and has more than 18,000 square metres constructed.The spa area exceeds the 2,000 square metres, with 16 treatment rooms (we work with Clarins), several thermal pools, water contrast circuit and a children pool. The water of Valbuena Spa comes from a 386 meters-depth aquifer catchment of mineral-medicinal water, which in XII century the Cistercian monks alreadly used this water to irrigate the vineyards that today are a part of Ribera del Duero DO.There are function rooms for events with capacity of up to 200 people, the Hotel has spacious halls and meeting areas of maximum versatility with careful design and advanced equipment.
