Nice stay overall. Room we stayed in was a bit run down (not in a charming way haha) room had two large sets of French doors, but we had to keep the curtains closed the whole time so no one could look in from the parking lot/pool area. Towels a bit rough, pillows a bit too soft but like what ya gonna do? It was clean and quiet and we liked that we could walk to The Pantry for brunch.

The staff was always pleasant and ready to help me with whatever I needed. There was a food truck that provided an excellent breakfast. I can't say enough to describe how pleasant my stay was. In the future, my first choice will be El Rey Court.

Today, the El Rey Court has become a historic venue in Santa Fe and a favorite amongst locals and visitors alike. In fact, 2016 marked the inn's 80th anniversary. With a welcoming ambiance and casual atmosphere, the El Rey Inn transports guests to a simpler, quieter, more peaceful time...and just like Santa Fe itself, it keeps getting better and better. Throughout the years, the El Rey has seen many additions, renovations, upgrades, and changes. The first major overhaul of the El Rey occurred in 1950. To accommodate growing tourism to Santa Fe, the owner decided to enclose the individual carports making them guest rooms. During that time, a swimming pool was also added to keep the El Rey in step with the newer hotels in Santa Fe.Smoke-free property
