I haven't come across a hotel in a brewery (other than McMenamins) before, so had some hesitancy. This was a good surprise! If you think you're going to wake up smelling like malts and barley, think again. The accommodations are pretty run of the mill and the typical brewery aromas do not permeate the residence areas. The food is above average and the brews are notable. The hotel staff was prompt and professional! I recommend staying here and will book again should I be in Squamish.

The Howe Sound Inn and Brewing Company is a character northwest inn located in the town centre of Squamish, B.C., a scenic 45 minute drive north of Vancouver, and only 35 minutes south of the resort of Whistler.The Inn offers gorgeous views of the Stawamus Chief, Western Canada's premiere rock climbing venue. Our warm and casual atmosphere provides guests affordable accommodation, with great food and award winning ales brewed on the premise. We're a minute's walk from downtown shops, the local marina and the Squamish Estuary. The estuary offers excellent walking and running trails and is a site for great birding opportunities all year long. Rated one of the best pubs for food and beer in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, the brew pub has become known as the meeting place in Squamish for locals and tourists alike. With high ceilings and post and beam construction, the brew pub offers a unique venue to show off the Stawamus Chief rock climbing face, and the rest of the fantastic local natural scenery.
