The opportunity recently presented itself for me to stay with one of our top hotel partners and one of our Preferred Member hotels in Key West - The Sheraton Suites Key West. This true four star hotel is the epitome of a tropical resort getaway. Although the property is not nearly as big as some of the mega resorts in the Caribbean, they do a fantastic job of giving you the feeling you are on a tropical resort getaway. Without a doubt the most prominent feature of this property is its location in proximity to the beach. There are less than a handful hotels in the immediate area of the Sheraton - and they are all the closest hotels to the beach on the entire island. Do not worry - the hotel offers a free shuttle to and from Duval St and a cab fare is only $8-$12. The Sheraton Suites is an all suite hotel that offers very spacious rooms. My room in particular offered a separate living room from the sleeping room, and a huge bathroom that connects from the living room as well as the bedroom. There were large plasma TV's in both rooms as well as refrigerators, microwaves, and a wet-bar area. There was ample room in the living room to hang out and relax - tables, chairs, as well as a huge "L" shaped couch that can pull out into a sleeper bed if need be. There is a lagoon style pool with a waterfall which is always a great way to relax and unwind. If you don't want to jump in - the pool is lined with seats / lounge chairs.On property there are 3 delicious dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - The Cabana Bar, The Coral Crab Cafe, and Papa Luigi's Pizza that ALL serve great food at a decent price. Overall I say I had a great experience at the Sheraton. The property is phenomenal, the rooms are huge, and the location ON the beach is something you cannot beat in Key West. Without a doubt this is a great hotel for a great price in a great location.
