Luxury Hotel Options in Kingston, Ontario

4 Star Average Prices: $174.00

Kingston has a wide array of fine and luxury hotels to choose from. If you're looking for quaint, the Green Acres Inn is a luxury bed and breakfast with wonderful cuisine and a tranquil setting, just off Hwy 15 a short distance from town. It is the perfect place to relax after a day filled with activity for $125 a night. If you'd like a quaint place downtown, the Rosemount Inn & Spa is a restored 1850s villa in the heritage district. With a soothing spa and decadent breakfast for $129 a night, you may be tempted to extend your stay!

The Residence Inn Kingston Water's Edge, one of the highest rated hotels, offers a free breakfast, full kitchens, at an average price range is $133 - $215 a night. These suites offer more than 50% more space than a standard hotel room, so you can spread out and relax during your busy trip. With a location in the heart of downtown, this hotel is ideal if you're staying for more than a few days.

Other luxury hotels that offer amenities, a prime location, and promotional discounts include the Four Points by Sheraton and the Courtleigh Hotel and Suites with rates ranging from $199 to $285 a night. The Jamaica Pegasus offers rooms at $300 a night and up.

Affordable Hotels in Kingston, Ontario

3 Star Average Prices: $125.80

The Embassy Motel, just down the road from the luxurious Green Acres Inn, receives high ratings and is affordable at just $69 per night. The Embassy is a no-frills hotel, but that frees up money in your budget so you can squeeze in Indian cuisine from the Taj Curry House, treasure-hunting in Antique Alley, or a specialty cruise to see the famous Thousand Islands. During the cruise, enjoy a delicious dinner and live entertainment.

The Embassy is a bit outside of downtown, so if you prefer a hotel within walking distance to many of the sights, choose the Hotel Belvedere, a boutique hotel located downtown and priced at $135 and up per night. It is one of Kingston's most comfortable inns, located only a few blocks from Queen's University. It's convenient to Fort Henry, the Rideau Canal, the Wolfe Island Ferry, and Thousand Islands cruises. Though it is a historic inn, many modern conveniences are available. You'll feel like you're a part of history while staying in this cozy residence.

Of course, as you distance yourself from the city center, hotel prices go down. That allows you to do and see more fun things, so you might feel the distance is worth it. If so, just under three miles from the city center you'll find a few hotels ranging from $90 to $134 a night and up. These are the Spanish Court, the Liguanea, and the Hylton New Kingston. A bit further out is The Gardens for $86 a night.

The Best Western Fireside Inn allows pets if you're traveling with a furry friend. It is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the city center for $108 - $155 a night. The good news about a stay in a Best Western is that it is an international chain, which means promotional codes and member points might be available. Rated the best hotel in downtown Kingston, it is close to the Thousand Islands, Fort Henry, Queens University, and the Royal Military College. If you are a business traveler, you will be near Novelis, Invista, Kingston General Hospital, and Bombardier.

Though the Best Western is affordably priced, it offers luxurious amenities such as spacious rooms with fantasy themed suites, whirlpools, a fitness center, laundry service, an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant with a lounge, and a fireplace in every room. If it's time for a romantic getaway, this is your place. Don't forget your passport or your enhanced driver's license, if you are from the United States.
