The room I reserved was not as advertised on their website. I felt like I paid for a 1900s hotel room experience when I had anticipated more of a romantic/luxurious experience. I feels like I paid extra (nearly $500 for two nights) just for a king sized bed and a “river view” which wound up just being a view of the parking ramp in front of the river.

Checked in Thursday for my son's wedding rehearsal and dinner. Had a delicious meal at Jimmy's restaurant, beautiful surroundings, wonderful staff. Stayed two nights in room facing the river; clean room, housekeeping was wonderful. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Also had drinks and appetizers at both the patio bar/restaurant and the downstairs Speak Easy bar. Loved the ambience of both. I would certainly recommend St James Hotel to friends and family.
