Great day experience. Very clean,well maintained but retaining charm. Very quiet and comfortable. The staff is particularly helpful and gracious.Housekeepingvwas on top of everything. 10 out of 20 and we will stay there on a return visit. Also parking is easy and the ponies to feed and watch are an extra treat.

I've been coming to Chincoteague for well over thirty years, sometimes renting a little house, other times always choosing the Refuge Inn. I can truly say that the Refuge Inn satisfies all my needs, every time, ranging from welcoming staff, clean rooms, pleasing appearance of the place itself and the rooms and furnishings. Before Covid, free breakfast was offered and served in a lovely room. After covid, the breakfast, still free, is very nice and efficiently presented to guests who are eager to get out to bird watching and the ocean. All in all, a very rare opportunity to experience a thoroughly satisfactory and pleasant stay in a world that is too frequently giving up on first rate, quality service and ambiance.
