I specifically stayed at the Larkspur because I had stayed there in the past and found it to be a quality experience. I have to admit that it has been some time since my last stay, however, even with the time passing I expected to enjoy my stay. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted, however, were never told that unlike other hotels we would have to request our rooms to be refreshed, beds made and bathroom towels replaced. You can imagine our surprise coming back to our room after a day out to find it exactly how we left it! I called to the front desk thinking we had been overlooked only to be told that the hotel was under Covid rules and that no maid service would be provided. I was not happy and told the front desk person so only to be told to take it up with the management. Really, Covid restrictions? How long has it been that the world has gone back to normal and has lifted Covid restrictions? If that were really so, why were the staff not wearing masks or warning signs posted announcing the restrictions? Needless to say, once you have a bad experience your attention is turned to other deficits. I will now express my displeasure with the physical condition of the facility. The overall appearance is tired and needs refreshing. I think nothing has been updated since my last stay and that has been a decade. The hallway carpets are a tripping hazard! The elevator floors are wood vinyl repaired with duct tape. You need to have an inspector physically go to the site and assess whether or not the property is being kept to the quality standards that your brand represents. I hope this comment will be taken to heart? It will certainly benefit your quality image if you do!
