Things to Do in Dublin
Dublin is a cultural playground with more attractions and activities than can be experienced in a lifetime. While the city is quite large in size, many of its top spots are concentrated in the downtown area, and visitors will certainly want to take some time to explore this heart of the metropolis. Among the top must-see attractions are the historic Trinity College, the National Museum of Ireland and the National Gallery. Saint Stephen's Green is also a popular gathering place, giving you a chance to watch the locals socializing and relaxing in their natural habitat. Other hotspots include Saint Patrick's Cathedral, the Kilmainham Gaol and the Dublin Market.
During your visit, be sure to take some time to taste the flavors of the region. The city is home to the famed Guinness Storehouse, which offers tours and tastings and provides a beautiful roof-top bar where you can look out at the Dublin skyline while sipping an iconic beer. To try some authentic Irish cuisine, pull out a chair at Fade Street Social, Chapter One, Pig's Ear or another eatery. There are also many traditional pubs throughout the city, where you can try unique regional ales in a classic Irish setting and make some new friends by buying a round for the pub.
