Located in the village of Stokenchurch in the Chiltern foothills where Dick Turpin once roamed, sits our family-run historic hotel. For over 350 years it has welcomed guests – from King Charles II in the 17th century to locals from Marlow, High Wycombe and Henley-on-Thames in more recent years – with a cold beverage, a hearty meal and a cosy place to stay.
'The Kings' as we're affectionately known locally, offers a character-filled venue for weddings, conferences, business meetings or lunches, charity balls, office parties and family special events. As well as being a fabulous place for a romantic weekend away and somewhere to treat yourself to a relaxing break, our hotel can also simply be a place to lay your head when on a cycling or walking holiday in the stunning countryside that surrounds our village.
We're conveniently located for the Chiltern Hills (AONB), Henley Regatta, Royal Ascot, Oxford, and the historic market town of Bicester, and being just minutes from Junction 5 of the M40 means easy access to and from London and beyond.
We're delighted to welcome guests for a restful stay, brides and grooms on their biggest of days, business clients and delegates, and couples and families as well as those who simply wish to sample the delights our team of chefs have created.
