This was the perfect option for us while in town for my niece's wedding. The room was clean and functional. The indoor pool with the large hot tub was perfect. All the corridors have windows with views of the pool. There was a nice lobby with leather couches and eating area for the complimentary hot breakfast; breakfast was a hit. In the evening large party of 13 sat in the hot tub and laughed and made memories. The room had a fridge and microwave and the upgraded marble counters were a nice touch, with the separate sink and large mirror outside of the bathtub and toilet area allowing for everyone to get ready for the wedding. The location worked perfectly for us as we were 10 minutes from other family, 10 minutes from the venue and about five minutes from the beach. The beach had lots of golden sand, several dunes, a playground and of course, the walk out to the lighthouse. Best western Lakewinds was our perfect launchpad for a wonderful weekend of wedding memories in Ludington. Recommend if you're looking for value for the price, have kids and like a large hot tub and indoor pool.
