The hotel is very dated, although they have plans to renovate. It is clean, though and my room had comfortable beds and a new TV. Bring USB converter plugs as the room lacks USB ports. There are plenty of standard outlets. The room has decent amenities, including mini fridge and microwave. The front desk and housekeeping staff are kind and helpful. The pools are clean and the gardens well tended. For me, the biggest downsides were the tiny bathroom, sliding glass door facing the parking lot (not the best for security) and general look of nonchic shabbiness. Also, the door to the outside had about half an inch of space between the door and the ground, so I got several crawly visitors (bugs and spiders). But that wasn't a big deal. There is plenty of parking and lots of mall type stores and restaurants around, though it's about three miles to downtown Santa Barbara. All in all, it's okay for families and people looking to save a bit of money.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well appointed with lights,outlets and appliances. Bedding was clean and comfortable. What more could a guest want? Next time I go to SB, I'll be back.

A beautiful property right in the middle of everything. The staff was friendly and helpful and the 24 hour coffee machine was great even if the mocha with an extra shot of expresso probably wasn't the best late night choice lol.

I love this hotel. I stay in the older section around the tree and pool. Love the rooms, balcony and birds. By the attention to detail, it is obvious that the management cares about the guests and takes pride in this hotel. I hope the prices stay affordable.
