The hotel is very dated, although they have plans to renovate. It is clean, though and my room had comfortable beds and a new TV. Bring USB converter plugs as the room lacks USB ports. There are plenty of standard outlets. The room has decent amenities, including mini fridge and microwave. The front desk and housekeeping staff are kind and helpful. The pools are clean and the gardens well tended. For me, the biggest downsides were the tiny bathroom, sliding glass door facing the parking lot (not the best for security) and general look of nonchic shabbiness. Also, the door to the outside had about half an inch of space between the door and the ground, so I got several crawly visitors (bugs and spiders). But that wasn't a big deal. There is plenty of parking and lots of mall type stores and restaurants around, though it's about three miles to downtown Santa Barbara. All in all, it's okay for families and people looking to save a bit of money.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well appointed with lights,outlets and appliances. Bedding was clean and comfortable. What more could a guest want? Next time I go to SB, I'll be back.
