Outside, all that Montana has to offer is at your disposal for all four seasons. The grandeur of Glacier National Park and the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort offer numerous year-round activities. A remarkable number of trout streams and lakes are nearby. Moreover, some of the country's finest fairways and greens become groomed Nordic ski trails in the winter – and one is located right out of our doorstep. The scenic and pristine Whitefish Lake offers a sandy swimming beach. The beautifully landscaped public park features picnic tables and barbecues under covered pavilions, as well as a boat launch. The lake is seven miles long, offering plenty of room for boaters, water skiers and anglers alike. Entertainment and the arts are a mainstay in Whitefish. Music, live theater and art shows can be enjoyed all year long, not to mention the weekly Farmer's Market, annual Microbrew Festival, Huckleberry Days Festival, Oktoberfest, and Winter Carnival.

The lodge is wonderful. Convenient. Great staff. Great dinners. The breakfast buffet is standard fare and Luke warm. We stayed in a family loft. Nice space but poor lighting. The bedrooms are in the loft. The bathroom is on the main floor. There is no lighting on the stairs. And there are no accessible outlets next to the beds.
