I was traveling from New York to attend a funeral for a beloved family friend being held at a nearby church. I had just made the reservation by phone while enroute and found upon arrival there was a problem. Tired, burdened with grief and hungry, I anticipated a negative experience while I waited for the problem to be resolved. Quite contrary to my anticipation of drama, Brandon DeShields was patient, professional and calmly reassuring. I was treated with kindness and genuine empathy.
