Hotel Emperador is a hotel with a lot of history which has witnessed many legendary events. During the second half of the 20th century, it received its first guests and, subsequently, was witness to different important events of Spanish history, including the coronation of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia in 2014.The hotel is a true architectural landmark with excellent views of the city. It was designed and built in 1947 by the Otamendi brothers, Julián and Joaquín, architects who were also responsible for other emblematic buildings in Madrid such as the Communications Palace in Cibeles and the España Building.
