Everything about our stay was great. Fairmont Royal York is a beautiful historic Hotel. We were in town for a convention, a few hotels on the list, Fairmont Royal York was our choice hotel. We upgraded to Luxury Room, although for upgrade not sure what we got. I did ask at front desk based on premium price, was told renovated room was the upgrade. Still not sure that is what I paid for, thought slightly bigger than a standard room and a higher floor, we were on 3rd, was the reason to upgrade to luxury room. That is what website said. Still not sure what I upgraded to, but again Hotel is really beautiful and the location to convention centre, is perfect.
