Trying to be a four five star Inn but not there as yet. Not enough easy parking, breakfast menu and some of food provided very poor. Service everywhere was great. Staff friendly and very helpful. Group dinner was very good, food and service.

Looked forward to celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Dinner reservations made three weeks early, confirmed twice with a window seat. Arrived on time, told no reservations. We did get seats, but not where promised when reservation made. Food was warm and mostly tasteless. Breakfast the next AM, ordered avocado toast with a side of grits. The eggs on the toast were cold and the grits were a deep purple, stone cold and tasteless. Grits are white. Spent some time at the pool, frozen margarites at 15.00/ea were un drinkable, beer was 9.00 a cup. Beer at Nationals Park is cheaper than that. The room was clean, however the bathroom fixtures had oxidized green on much of them. The shower was very slow to drain. Had to stand in a couple of inches of dirty soapy water. All and all we were very disappointed. At 700/night plus the meals we expected more. As a 30 year retired airline Captain, In my career, I've stayed in a couple thousand hotels all over the world. The Tides Inn does not approach the average I'm used to. We will probably not be back.
