When you enter the lobby – you are reminded of a mountain resort with the view of the beautiful Chocolate Lake, fireplace and relaxing furniture. The hotel is pet friendly as you already know when you enter the lobby as you get greeted by a cute Chocolate lab named Aero – the hotel ambassador. Even if the hotel is 10 minutes outside of the city – it still has easy access and the great lake location is worth it. The hotel offers include indoor pool, fitness facility and games room. Each stylish and spacious guest room many with lake view features complimentary Wi Fi and free parking. Each room offers a flat screen HD television, tea and coffee maker, mini fridge, iron with board, hair dryer. In a separate wing efficiency rooms with half kitchen and outdoor entrance offer a great option and dog owners. The hotel just received an Award for clean rooms. The Lakeside Bar and Grill is nicely renovated and offers beautiful view of the lake and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring classic dishes with a modern twist. For your next corporate retreat, meeting, banquet, or conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia – the hotel offers several conference rooms including stylish ballroom with lake view. Patios and lakeside lawn access are also available for additional ambience – perfect for weddings.

Good hotel. The view of Chocolate Lake is calming. We like the convenience of a drive up room with two special needs children. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good.

Room very clean and staff friendly. But at arrival after a hectic day of shopping and activities, there were no parking spaces available as there was a party at the hotel. No designated parking so anyone has first come first serve to parking. Very frustrating. Luckily the clerk at the front desk offered his parkingaftdr his manager offered hers in the front entrance but my room was in the back. Lack of information on the website to advise paid lodgers that no parking available if there's an event there. Some people had parked on the lawn. Lots of noise in the parking caused by those who attended the party left at 11 pm. Also the children stop my room had been constantly jumping from 8 12 pm. No quiet standards as sports team were noisy in the hallway and rooms above. The parking incident was enough for me and I will never stay there again.
