A visit to Charlotte Recapped

Though North Carolina's largest city attracts mostly corporate travelers, tourist offerings are no less than minimal. Charlotte, dubbed the Queen City, is one gigantic banking and transportation center. The Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and other financial headquarters call the city home, making it one of America's largest banking centers, second only to New York. If you're not in the city for some banking deals, make a detour from the central business district to Tryon Street's busy downtown thoroughfare. If the tall buildings and concrete hold no appeal, travel a few blocks away and help yourself to some attractions. The Discovery Place has a planetarium, an IMAX theater, and an indoor rainforest, which complete all the necessities for one hit kids-oriented museum. The Museum of New South is also an excellent choice. There are loads of hotels around the city, but most reflect the rigid atmosphere the banking centers exude. The amenities are almost always aimed at Charlotte's conference trade, but a 1929 structure stands above the rest of the dull but high-class competition. Dunhill Hotel still possesses that Old World elegance, long lost after the Queen City traded its homey vibe to a mass of trades.

In February 2012, John Bain announced that he would be sponsoring team-dignitas player Bling, saying: "The StarCraft community has given a lot to me and in turn I've had the opportunity to give back with SHOUTcraft Invitational. Now it is time to take it one step further and directly support a UK talent that I believe has the potential to be one of the best foreigners in the world."

One of the largest South-Eastern United States city, it is a major hub for international air traffic. Hotels in Charlotte are fully geared to cater to huge crowds arriving for major sporting events with leading teams like the NBA Charlotte Hornets and the NFL Carolina Panthers attracting fans. Racing events like the NASCAR Hall of Fame and All-Star Race are other draws. A total of 199 neighborhoods are found in the city with historic centers like Biddleville and Plaza-Midwood.
