The hotel was clean and beds comfortable. Everything we needed was nearby. Also, I recommend going to Calico Ghost Town. Only a few miles from Barstow.

We loved Black Bear Diner. There are great places within 20 miles to go rock hounding (that's why we were there). Calico Ghost Town is just a 20 minute drive and if you enjoy historical places it's fun to explore. Also the Barstow Train Museum; so much wonderful rich history about the trains and wonderful restored train cars to explore.

We visited some interesting local museums and took some nice local hikes.
Good location, approximately midway between San Francisco and Albuquerque. We did not stay long enough to really enjoy the town. However, there was a really interesting Italian restaurant near the hotel that we enjoyed.
The historic area was interesting. Route 66 museum was fun. Large enough city to find anything you need or want.
