Or head down to the Georgetown dock and take a ride on the Potomac with the Potomac Riverboat Company, which offers sightseeing tours of many locations on the river. During the day, explore Montrose Park, a section of Rock Creek Park here, which contains total over 2,000 acres of parkland and recreational facilities. Parking around Georgetown is available on the street; however, it fills up quickly, so the best transportation to the area is the Metro, with the nearest stations being the Foggy Bottom station and the Rosslyn Station, across the river.
