Local Attractions
Although Hout Bay may be a small town, there are plenty of things to do in it. Furthermore it is the perfect spot between many different day trips. The Hout Bay fishing harbor and beach with its wonderful markets as well as the Bird Park down our road are great spots to start off your trip in Cape Town. Chapman's Peak Drive which is the gateway to many attractions such as Cape Point, Penguin Colonies and Noordhoek beach is only 5 minutes away from our guesthouse, where you can enjoy marvelous views of the Atlantic and Table Mountain. Our guesthouse is only a short 20 minute drive into Cape Town, where Table Mountain, Robben Island, V&A Waterfront and various museums are located! Another option is heading towards Constantia and all its winelands as well as the Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens.

Property Description
High on the mountain slopes overlooking the fishing port of Hout Bay, the only noise you'll encounter here is chirping birds and the occasional splash from the koi ponds. Recently restored in the style of Provence, Cap Serein is about peace, quiet and exceptional cuisine.
Each spacious suite and cottage at Cap Serein comes with a Satellite TV, tea/coffee facilities and a private patio. They either overlook the Atlantic, the mountains or the guest house's gardens. Expect superb breakfasts in our sunroom, with cooked fare and a selection of home-baked pastries. You can also see Kurt's dinner menu and decide if you'd like to stay in for the evening. We have options for everyone; ranging from three-course meals to a simple snack to end the day.
After a dip in the pool, guest can relax on the sun terrace or enjoy a night in our jacuzzi.The shady garden is full of nooks and crannies, with plenty of corners where you can lose yourself in a good book or simply relax under Cape Town's sun.
Garden Suites Avignon or Arles
Spacious Rooms offer two beds as a double or twin option. There's underfloor heating in the bathroom, which has a spacious shower. The room has a fireplace, minibar and hot beverage facilities. There's DSTV satellite television and a furnished, covered terrace for all-weather relaxation.
Marseille Cottage
This detached cottage offers the utmost privacy and is ideal for longer stays. Styled with a contemporary feel and modern décor, there's a king-size bed, a double shower, underfloor heating and heated towel rails. The cottage has its own private garden, as well as its own terrace, living room and study area. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are spacious enough to entertain groups, especially with its newly installed kitchen. There's a fireplace, minibar and hot beverage facilities.
