Mokutu (Mok-Koo-Too) is a tranquil ridge on Norfolk Island with impressive panoramic mountain, valley and ocean views.
Mokutu is the ideal location for exploring Norfolk Island due to its information & tour desk. Indulge your interests in healthy lifestyle activities such as Day Spa, Cooking Classes, Hiking and Bicycling or learn about Norfolk's Culture, History, Heritage and Environment all while relaxing in comfort.
Our iconic 1 & 2 bedroom A-frame Chalets face north towards the ocean and include separate Lounge rooms, private decks, full kitchens and are equipped with everything you will need for a home away from home. While some Chalets overlook the pool, they all enjoy the extensive views that Mokutu is famous for. Our non A-frame 1 & 2 bedroom Mokutu Suites also have separate Lounge rooms and full kitchens and while they are a little further from the pool still enjoy the exceptional views.
All rooms enjoy self-catering facilities, TV, DVD, phone, Wifi, etc. while the Pool, Yoga Deck, Catering Cabana, Outdoor BBQS, Guest laundry and Sublime Lounge Café are a short walk away.
Day Spa facilities can treat you to detoxifying or rejuvenating treatments including body treatments, and massage, while more active possibilities include Yoga or Pilates, which are available through guest services at our front office. Our new tour desk at Mokutu is able to arrange any touring activities, performance/museum tickets, and restaurant reservations. Available from Sublime Lounge Café (the winner last year of Norfolk's Best New Business) are a host of options including private romantic dinners or a variety of cooking classes where you use fresh local organic foods in the preparation of local dishes or modern fusion cuisine.
The truly sublime fully cooked or continental breakfasts can also be arranged to be delivered to your Chalet/Suite to start your day at your own speed or enjoyed at Sublime Lounge Café in its art filled interior or on the Sublime deck with its spectacular views.
Groups also enjoy additional facilities at Mokutu including the function room & two large buses for the convenience of transfers, touring and events. We are the ideal location for groups of up to 40 people including wedding groups, clubs, family trips or small corporate training or getaways. You will find we can cater for almost any desire or itinerary including organising local speakers, activities, and performances at Mokutu.
