Our lovely pebble beach and the boat dock are just steps away for guest's use, and of course, our gracious "living room" where you can warm yourself in front of Judge Still's original fireplace. If you're interested in outdoor activities, your stay at the Captain Whidbey Inn places you in the heart of the "rain shadow” of the Olympic Mountains, Coupeville and the Captain Whidbey Inn receive just half of the annual rain of Seattle and Vancouver BC. You can spend days exploring Ebey's Prairie National Historic Reserve or the historic Fort Casey and Admiralty Head Lighthouse by car or the inn's bicycles. Miles of beaches and the spectacular Deception Pass State Park are all easily accessible and allow for lovely day hikes, bicycle rides and picnics while watching our abundant wildlife. If hunting for a great antique is more your liking, you can start at Elkhorn Antiques on Front Street or one of the many other shops, bookstores, museums and restaurants in nearby Coupeville or Langley. The Inn is a short day trip away from La Conner and its world famous Tulip Festival or gaming at one of the casinos. Leave your car at the dock and walk on to the Keystone ferry for an afternoon ride to Port Townsend. Enjoy the great views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound on your way to exploring this historic town filled with great antique shops, brew pubs, restaurants and galleries.
