Property Description
The B&B Galileo 2000 is located in a historic and important area of Florence. The completely renovated XIV century building overlooks the charming Piazza di San Firenze and the famous Bargello Museum. The hotel is also near the Galleria degli Uffizi and is just a few metres away from Piazza della Signoria as well as being next to the historic Palazzo Gondi where it is said that La Gioconda was painted. Piazza San Firenze is mentioned on the first page of Dan Brown's last book, 'Inferno', and many of the events in the novel are set in the buildings and places around our hotel. Its unique, strategic position is just a short walk away from the museums and monuments, Piazza Santa Croce, Palazzo Pitti, the cathedral (S. Maria del Fiore), Giotto's bell tower, the San Lorenzo central market as well as the most exclusive shops and restaurants of the city centre. Bus number C2 provides easy access to the train station Santa Maria Novella. Our hotel is gay-friendly and is particularly suitable for gay and heterosexual couples who want to create unforgettable memories in this beautiful city.Our B&B offers various types of double and triple rooms, elegantly furnished and equipped with all amenities: en suite bathroom, hair dryer, air conditioning and heating, digital and satellite TV, mini bar, telephone, Wi-Fi and laundry service (with a surcharge).
