Whether you're looking for a romantic mountain getaway, spending time at Castle Mountain Chalets with family, or exploring Banff National Park or Lake Louise with friends, we offer many hotel amenities to make your stay both comfortable and memorable. Castle Mountain Chalets is located in the heart of Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada's Rocky Mountains. The park encompasses 6,641 square kilometers (2,564 square miles) of breathtakingly beautiful scenery for nature lovers.From our central location, half way between the Town of Banff and village of Lake Louise, stay with us and enjoy Banff's mountains, valleys, ice fields, meadows, rivers, lakes and hot springs. Visitors can seek adventure year-round and each season offers its own scenery, wildlife, and activities for your enjoyment. There are an abundance of hikes within a few minutes of the property and the Bow Valley Parkway is a popular route for visitors to see many sights not available from the Trans Canada Highway. Deer, elk, moose, grizzly bears, black bears, ground squirrels, foxes, wolves, and many other creatures inhabit the area. Hiking is an option year round and the skiing is unbeatable.Castle Mountain General Store offers a wide range of grocery and specialty items. Snacks and grocery items, wine, cold beer, gasoline, homemade treats, prepared lunch items, cold beverages, ice, ice cream, a good selection of energy drinks/bars, camping supplies, maps, canned goods, health and beauty items, fresh coffee/tea and hot chocolate, souvenir items, maple products and a wide array of candy.Our cabins are all equipped with a full kitchen and fireplace (a few are propane). Wood is supplied daily to ensure our guests' comfort and add to the atmosphere. There is an outdoor hot tub, several public BBQ's, a large fire pit area for relaxing after a long hike, and the Osprey Lodge offers games and large comfy chairs for curling up with a good novel. There is a guest laundry on site as well as a small gym, computer room, and each unit offers a beautiful view from the deck.Most of our units are dog friendly (with a small fee). Housekeeping is provided daily and we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our cabins. We are just a couple of minutes from the Trans Canada Highway.
