The stadium was built in 1968, and the complex has been renovated twice since that time. The stadium is the current home of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team during their Spring Training schedule as part of the Cactus League. The field itself is named for actor Gene Autry who was the former owner of the Angels.
Tempe Diablo Stadium has a capacity of just over 9,500. There are 1,350 parking places. However, this is not usually sufficient to accommodate the number of fans attending games. Those coming to the stadium are advised to come early if they want to park at the complex.
