"Westin quality does not disappoint in downtown."
Overall Score3.5/ 5
The Westin is a always a great choice of a brand, that I've found to be especially popular with business groups, meetings and events. This particular Westin has a great location right in downtown, that is a quick walk away from both Pike Place market and Seattle Center/the Space Needle. The hotel's style is straightforward and dignified and makes it easy to create a focused atmosphere if your group is there for business and has a job to do. Keep in mind, this is a large property about 900 rooms with a very large lobby and meeting spaces to match, so it might not be the best choice for any group that will get overwhelmed easily (lots of kids, elderly, foreign, or anything else) when there are small, boutique properties around that provide a cozier experience. If the Westin is indeed the type of property you are looking for, this one will not disappoint with service or quality of accommodations. The rooms are spacious and feature floor to ceiling windows that offer a fantastic view. They are also slightly curved (the whole hotel is built as two cylindrical towers) which I thought added an unexpectedly cool dynamic. The meeting spaces match the dynamic of the hotel and can be molded to host any type of event you could have a need for. Their large size also allows for some useful, business oriented amenities such as on on site FedEx center. In general, I would recommend this hotel to any group but would really feel the most inspired to send businesses their way for a excellent and professional experience.
