My husband, teenage son and I arrived close to midnight. Our luggage had been lost by the airline. I was miserable and cranky as we tried to navigate everything that comes with lost luggage. Over our couple of days stay, each front desk shift tried to help us, they were patient and really tried to communicate updates about our lost luggage in a timely manner. Ultimately only one piece of luggage ever made it to the hotel and on the day we left, the remaining pieces showed up a few hours before our flight left. In all the last day frustration, our teenage son left behind a bracelet from his girlfriend in our hotel room and he was distraught. Called the hotel from the airport, our room had not yet been cleaned, they located the bracelet and mailed it to us in Chicago! The kindness of the hotel staff completely overshadowed the bummer of losing our luggage. And honestly, the more prominent memory of our stay is one of appreciation and warmth for the human kindness of Pomeroy's team!
