Experience magical Arabian nights and the romance of living like the nomads of yore, complete with Asian-inspired hydrotherapy spa facilities, a dedicated nature reserve, and private beach access at Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach.
An Arabian wildlife experience awaits within the nature reserve, home to local desert fauna such as Arabian gazelles, camels and oryxes, offering guests a unique opportunity to interact with and observe these gentle creatures up close.
Green Sustainability
The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert has established a chef’s garden within the resort where culinary teams grow their own herbs and vegetables to support ‘Sustainability' and healthy eating for the Ladies and Gentlemen staying with us. The vegetables and herbs grown organically in the garden are done without the use of fertilizers or chemicals, which is the perfect way to preserve nutrients so our guests can eat clean, support local and stay healthy.
During the summer months, it can be challenging to effectively grow herbs and vegetables due to high temperatures and a lack of nutrients in the soil. Therefore, our culinary teams utilize this time of the year to create compost out of the kitchen waste from vegetable, fruit peels and eggshells by laying them on the soil so that the surface remains nutrient-rich,
sustainable and pest free throughout the year. On average, 8 to 10 kgs of in-house kitchen waste is used daily to create compost for the soil all year round. Since starting the chef’s garden on 1 January 2021 the resort has utilized approximately 750 kgs of kitchen waste.
