Born: 1923. Reborn: October 2004. After a $34 million-dollar renovation, the historic Hotel Orrington in Evanston is the premier meeting place on Chicago's North Shore. Our 4-Diamond property reopened in October 2004 with 269 newly decorated and enhanced rooms and suites. Each room is graced with the comforts and understated elegance you would expect from a fine hotel including complimentary internet access.
Meeting space at the Hotel Orrington is flexible, functional and diverse. Whether you need a conference room for 25 or a banquet for 500, the Hotel Orrington will execute your event flawlessly and with style. Meeting facilities are spread over two floors for maximum flexibility. Our second floor offers 12,000 square feet of versatile meeting space and includes our famous Grand Ballroom with its elegant sweeping staircase.
The ninth floor is home to our conference center which opened in January 2005, and was built in accordance with the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) specifications. Only a select number of hotels receive this accreditation, which ensures the most productive meeting environment available. Meetings will take on a whole new approach in our 12,000 square foot conference center with “tack able and writable” walls in the meeting rooms, wireless internet access throughout, designated conference planners, a full-service business center, and state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment (not to mention a killer tree-top view!). Our Complete Meeting Package (CMP) is a convenient way to package all of the services you will need to orchestrate a successful and cost efficient event.
The New Hotel Orrington is Evanston's only full service hotel. Two restaurants, two bars, room service, concierge, and valet parking are at your service. Our Globe Café and Bar, offers a more casual dining experience, serves 3 meals a day. Are you in? Our lobby lounge, Indigo, is a sophisticated spot to meet and network. And finally, our adjoining fine dining restaurant, Narra, a European-style steakhouse, is now open for dinner.
