After a complete six month and €23 millioninvestment renovation project the Hilton Barcelona has re-opened its doors early May 2012.Arriving in Barcelona in 1990, we have undergone an extensive refurbishment of our 289 guest rooms, 13 suites and public areas, including the spectacular new lobby.Our aim for the design was to integrate Barcelona's vibrant surroundings into both the architecture and interior design of the hotel. With light-filled, dynamic and comfortable spaces, which reflect the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand's commitment to exploring the latest design and technology innovations, ensuring the lobby is an engaging environment relevant for today's global travelers.We offer 289 newly refurbished rooms and 13 suites with full sound proofing,individually controlled air-conditioning, full wireless connectivity anda 32 inch TV.Guests staying on the Executive floors will also have access to the Executive Lounge.We also offer a restaurant, a bar and a fantastic outdoor terrace during the summer season.The lobby is a multifunctional place including the "Vibe Bar" and various private zones, lounge area and intergrated fireplace for informal meetings . Those reflect the three hallmarks of the Hilton lobby design approach: accessible technology, contemporary food and beverage offerings, and an adaptable environment for community engagement.The centerpiece of Hilton Barcelona's lobby is an aspectacularand colourful artinstallation of translucent material created by JacobboFoggini, bringing some of the city's rich artistic landscape into the hotel.Located in the heart of the financial district and in between the two most upscale shooping malls in Barcelona, the Hilton Barcelona is just 15 minutes by car from Barcelona's International Airport, 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from Barcelona Sants Train Station.Leisure guests can take advantage of the city's fabulous shops, a huge variety of restaurants and bars and by visiting one of two shopping malls, just five minutes' walk away.
