There are two trauma facilities in the center of the Texas Medical Center and the institutions specialize in all aspects of health care, whether your health concern is cancer, organ transplant, mental health, terminal illness, or preventative care. All the institutions at the Texas Medical Center are not-for-profit and are dedicated to keeping the highest standards of care for the patient during their stay. There are two medical schools, four nursing schools, schools of dentistry, public health, and pharmacy. The center also boasts a very successful transplant program—more heart transplants are performed at the Texas Medical Center than any other facility in the world.
