The Residence Inn Dover is located off the main road next to Dover Downs behind the Fairfield Inn, a day care and church. Upon entry there is a warm feeling with red and browns, breakfast area, front desk on right, pool table and pantry shop. Outside includes a nice patio area and basketball court, lovely for the warmer weather. Other hotel amenities include coin operated laundry, business center, fitness center, indoor pool, comp WIFI (upgrading to faster speed), are pet friendly and full breakfast buffet in the morning and evening receptions Monday – Wednesday. The Studio Suites include one bed, stove top, flatware, dishes, pans, dishwasher and sofa beds; the one bedroom includes oven plus other features of the studio and separation between living space and bedroom. The best feature is on the weekends is a free shuttle run by Dover Downs to/from the casino for any hotel guest! There is a small meeting room on-site with a maximum capacity for 50 guests. This hotel is a great selection for any traveler, government or specifically extended stay and the leisure traveler including family reunions, social events or sports teams.
