This place is old just like me. I grew up in an old home, so I felt like I was back home again. Everything here was relaxing for me. In the evening the sunsets sitting by the lakeshore was so beautiful. It is not like the modern chain hotels don't expect that, just expect this place to be memorable and unforgettable. And you'll probably want to come back again.

This Inn is a step back to old Florida. Sitting on the veranda talking to other guests who equally enjoy relaxing conversation while looking out at the scenery of a manicured lawn and palm trees leading to a lake was just delightful. Liz, who helped us at arrival and departure was such a kind and helpful member of the staff. She engaged us in conversation and saw to it that we were all set in our rooms. She has wonderful people skills that made our visit all the more enjoyable. Morning coffee is served in the main lobby. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Be aware that there are stairs all around the property. If you plan a quick visit to Mt Dora, Lakeside Inn is a good place to stay for a couple of days to relax and enjoy a step back to a slower pace of life.

The staff, the grounds, the atmosphere, absolutely amazing?!! Anytime we asked for anything we got it. Our room was always cleaned when we came back from neon out. It's your responsibility to make sure you put the sign on the door for housekeeping, but that's the way it should be! We went for relaxation and no hustle and Lakeside Inn delivered just that! I will go back again and again! Love the history, the staff and the meaning of all of it! Downtown was awesome also!

LOVE this location. You are close to restaurants, the park and lots of great restaurants. The hotel is cute and has lots of great seating throughout the property. Our room was large and comfortable.

Great time in the historic Lakeside Inn. Take the two hour boat tour through the Cypress Preserve, it is well worth it. Clean nice rooms and wonderful staff.

A remarkable getaway at a beautiful property. The entire staff was wonderful. Terrific views, room was clean beds comfy, meals splendid. Breakfasts were awesome, the Tremaine Bar was great for dinner. Had the potpie and brisket, really special. Pool was amazing, it was a five star experience and I will rave about it to anyone who will listen. Thank you!
