If you’re flying, head for Düsseldorf International Airport. With more than 500 take-offs and landings a day, it offers flight connections to over 170 cities in Germany and abroad. We’re approximately 20 minutes and 25 km away by taxi. For the short journey via the autobahns A44 and A52 all the major car hire firms are of course represented at Düsseldorf International. From Düsseldorf Airport railway station you can choose between three ICE lines (40/45, 10 and 41), which get you to Essen’s main station in just 22 minutes. Apart from S-Bahn commuter trains (S1) three regional express trains (RE 1, 6 and 11) are also available. There is a direct underground (U-Bahn) connection from Essen’s main station to the hotel.
Local Shuttle Info: At Essen main railway station there are more than 120 ICE, InterCity, EuroCity and InterRegio connections in all directions every day.
