Almost secretly perched on a hilltop above white sand Magazine Beach, each of our seven sumptuous 'banas' enjoys gorgeous sea view and features a fully equipped kitchen and a private massaging hot tub. Set amidst tropical gardens with lily and terrapin ponds, waterfall feature and infinity-edge swimming-pool, nature takes centre stage inside and out, as each villa is individually themed after the surrounding fruit trees and 111 solar panels provide for our guests' electrical needs. Steps away, right on the beach, sits our cosmopolitan Aquarium Restaurant, an island favourite by locals and visitors alike.Maca Bana was designed and decorated by fine artist Rebecca Thompson and ideal for family reunions, smaller weddings, girlfriends getaways and special interest groups.Ms. Thompson also gives private art lessons for guests at inspiring waterfalls and palm-lined beaches, sketching and painting with a picnic provided. The name is derived from the ancient Arawak, 'maca' meaning tree and 'bana' a place for dwelling.Unwind and indulge in relaxing spa treatments or private yoga / pilates lessons in the privacy of your villa or on its wind-kissed balcony. Order a chef from The Aquarium to your villa to pamper you with a gourmet meal or learn some of his well-kept, often spicy, culinary secrets in an individual cookery lesson.
