I absolutely loved my stay at the Lancaster. The staff are very inviting and take excellent care of their guests. Even the dinner host was inviting and had insightful conversations with us and our two year old. The drinks were AMAZING and the unlimited snacks and beverages were a great plus for the children.

The perfect balance between history and luxury, The Lancaster hotel is Houston's only Small Luxury Hotel (SLH) and the inhabitant of the designated historic landmark building on the corner of Texas and Louisiana avenues in the vibrant theater district, home to the major restaurants and exciting downtown nightlife. This central location is one of the best in Houston, offering easy walking access to all of the Houston downtown area attractions: the Theater District, Minute Maid Baseball Stadium, the famed Wortham Center for Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet, the government corridor and federal courthouses. The hotel is traditional in design and the guest rooms and suites are spacious and beautifully appointed. Deluxe king and queen rooms allow the guest to complete their day at an executive style desk with easy Internet access, two line speakerphones, CD, VCR's and 24-hour room service from our restaurant, Bistro Lancaster. Nine luxury one-bedroom suites offer separate parlors with dining for 2 to 6 guests and perfect for the traveler that requires some additional space. Luxury private dining and meeting rooms are located on the second level overlooking the lobby, these rooms are residential in décor and perfect for a more intimate wedding reception, corporate meetings and social functions. Bistro Lancaster and Bistro Bar feature Chef Pawlowski's creative interpretation of American French Bistro cuisine. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with soft jazz on weekends until 1:00 a.m. The Bistro is the perfect gathering place for guests and local socialites alike to enjoy relaxed conversation and good food.
