MARTI's goal is to integrate sound natural resources management and sustainable practices into tourism development and operations at all scales in the MesoAmerican Reef region by 2016, thereby ensuring the region's economic and environmental prosperity.The hotel is affiliated to the environmental management system MARTI (The Mesoamerican Reef Association), who has given us the foundations to qualify for a certification as a company of good environmental practices. •The hotel is responsible for separating their waste (plastic bottles, cardboard, aluminum, etc.) and refer them to a company dedicated to the recycle and reuse of waste. • Our rooms are equipped with sensors that allow energy savings when the guest is not in the room. •We have a water saving program, through a sign posted in the rooms for the use of towels and bathrobes (if they are hung, will be left in the room.
