Just off the South end of the famous Palolem beach is Patnem, which still retains its virgin natural beauty. By village road, Patnem is only 1.5 kms from Palolem. Getting Here The best route is NH 17, which winds through green hillsides. The beach is off the main road; so do pay attention to signs and the route map provided. We are well known in Patnem village, so do ask locals for directions. ROAD TRANSPORT:- The nearest city is Margao, which is the best place for road transport. Take NH 1 7, southwards (Canacona), to come here. If travelling from Karnataka state (South of Goa), the best route is NH 17 northwards through Karwar-Canacona. Karwar is 35 km away.
