Things to Do in Sydney
As a world-class city with a diverse and vibrant culture, it only makes sense that there are more attractions here than can be seen in a lifetime. There are some sites every traveler should see on their visit to this metropolis. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, for example, is a feat of engineering and an icon of the locale. You should also be sure to check out the Sydney Opera House, one of the destination's most famous buildings and a structure included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
It would be a shame to travel to Sydney without taking some time to explore the nightlife of this exciting metropolis. Head downtown and start your evening with dinner at one of the exquisite eateries, such as Universal, Gourmet Viking or Bathers' Pavilion. For some authentic Australian cuisine, make your way to Duke, located above the popular Flinders pub, where the meaty plates are huge and sharing is encouraged. Then, catch a show at the Metro Theatre, City Recital Hall or Sydney Theatre Company. Bring the night to a close with a final drink at one of the many bars throughout the city - Stitch takes on the atmosphere of an authentic speakeasy, while Shady Pines Saloon has a honky-tonk feel with lots of whiskeys and ryes.
