I questioned the value of the property upon arrival. The insulted attendant quickly berated me and told me to leave. I refused having no options. Nonrefundable arrangements and road fatigue were added to the disappointment of the shabby inn. The attendant also added that I was screwed as every other hotel around charged $700 for the stay due to a music event locally. He began to be verbally aggressive and I returned the favor. When he stepped toward me raising his voice more I did the same. As he hid behind the computer screen I reached for and grabbed it one handed. I set it down having moved it less than a foot. He then grabbed a small phone and called the police. They came and saw no reason to pursue the issue. They also assisted in trying to cancel the reservation and move forward. Hotels exist to provide rest to tired travelers. This is a tired hotel that feels entitled to charge inflated rates for no rest in a soiled setting. I was not once offered a breath of fresh air as a tired traveler. Instead I recieved bad breath, hot air and the police for my honesty.
