Green Policy At Cerro de Hijar Hotel, we are awear of the fragility of our environment and of its needs to last long for the nexts generations, therefor we have developed our so called green policies, for example by using our left water purifying sistem and obtaining water for the plants in the gardens, using recicled papers in all our paperwork, planting original species from the area in our garden or placing timers in the lighting sistem, wich has also been designed so that light hits the ground and not the sky so you can still spot many stars. Other messures have been taken in the restauration of the house using oil based wood protectors instead of barnish, natural pigment and water base paint, beams from cleaning of the woods, etc, and the same in terms of decoration and furnishing using natural fabrics both in table and bed clothes as in curtains and carpets. In adittion drinks at the bar come in returnable containers and we separate 3 diferent types of wastes. We encourage our clients to help with our green polocy, for example by used of towells more than one day, samart use of water and energy.
