Director of Operations

HotelPlanner, a leader in the online travel industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee and optimize the efficiency of our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operations team, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision and business objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflows across various functions, including customer service, supplier management, technology, and travel partnerships.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Performance Management

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and improve overall customer experience.
  • Implement robust quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Develop and implement employee training programs to enhance skills and improve operational performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development for team members.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Negotiate contracts, set performance standards, and manage third-party agreements to ensure the highest levels of service and efficiency.
  • Oversee global supplier networks to ensure timely delivery of services and maintain quality standards.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with leadership to define and execute long-term operational strategies in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Lead the development of operational budgets and manage resources effectively to achieve financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, including the integration of innovative technologies, to improve operational processes and customer experience.

Customer-Centric Focus

  • Championing a customer-first mindset by ensuring operations are created to deliver exceptional service across all touchpoints.
  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to inform operational improvements and service offerings.
  • Ensure operational agility to respond to evolving customer needs and competitive pressures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within the travel, e-commerce, or technology sectors.
  • Proven experience leading large teams and managing multi-disciplinary operations at a level.
  • Strong understanding of travel industry dynamics, technology platforms, and customer service excellence.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Experience working in a global environment and managing diverse teams across multiple geographies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
  • Proficiency in operations software, project management tools, and data analytics.

Sr. Software Engineer - Java/ColdFusion

Are you an experienced ColdFusion programmer that likes to push the boundaries of what ColdFusion can do and are looking to work in a fun, fast-paced environment on a multitude of projects for a company that truly cares about its employees?

Do you have a thorough understanding of Object-Oriented ColdFusion Programming along with the demonstrated ability to write well organized, maintainable and reusable code including the knowledge of coding best practices and standards?

To qualify you must possess the following, with no exceptions.

  • Expertise in programming high level ColdFusion ecommerce applications with well organized, maintainable and reusable code. We are currently on CF2016.
  • Solid in both JavaScript and jQuery
  • Savvy in HTML5, CSS and Responsive Design
  • The aptitude to architect and develop OOP ColdFusion applications from start to finish both as an individual and within a team environment including troubleshooting, debugging and enhancing existing code.
  • Proven ability to estimate time and meet deadlines with little to no supervision.

Possessing these skills will move you to the front of the line

HotelPlanner.com, the leader in online hotel sales and reservations with 18 years in business is adding quality people to educate hotels on the HotelPlanner platform and sell advertising placement. This can be done while working from the comfort and safety of your home. In this position you will set up phone appointments / zoom calls with hotels and review the HotelPlanner presentation deck in detail with each respective hotel. HotelPlanner will provide initial and ongoing training as well as support to make you successful. HotelPlanner will assign hotel leads in conjunction with the time zone / geographic region of the respective Hotel Planners.

  • Qualifications -We give you all the skills! We want to work with money-motivated go getters who are confident in their ability to succeed.
  • You must love talking to people, as this job requires you to be on the phone / zoom with hotel sales managers and general managers. You will spend your time making contact and building relationships with our hotels in your region of coverage.
  • Leads are provided for our reps so they can focus on making the sale and closing the deal vs spending time prospecting.
  • Our training program is designed to be an ongoing process with a helpful management team that is invested in the success of each person.
  • We are looking for someone who loves a challenge.
