The Phoenixville center is around 3 miles west of Greater Philadelphia Expo Center and 5 miles southwest of Ursinus College.
The best time to visit Phoenixville is from March to May before the summer tourists descend on the city. Room rates are moderate during the spring, giving you an affordable means of visiting area attractions. Just keep in mind that local schools participate in field trips during the spring season, so you might run into some crowds, but those crowds are nothing like the ones you'd encounter during the summer rush. Key events worth checking out include the Philadelphia Flower Show, the St. Patrick's Day Parade, and the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival.
Philadelphia and its many suburbs, including Phoenixville, are packed from June through August, resulting in sky-high hotel rates. Although summer is the most expensive time to visit, you'll have access to some unbeatable events throughout the area, including Head House Farmers' Market, Welcome America, and the Pennsylvania Dutch Festival.
Hotel rates start to decline in September, but so do the temperatures. Winter brings unbeatable deals to Philadelphia and Phoenixville, but you'll have to put up with frigid temperatures and possible snowfall. Even so, visitors and locals alike can enjoy wintertime activities like the Philadelphia Marathon, Mummers Parade, and Chinese New Year.
If you qualify, you can save even more money on your trip to Phoenixville by booking a special room rate. Simply present your proof of eligibility at check-in, such as a membership card or ID.
