The Boothbay Harbor center is around 8 miles southeast of Wiscasset Airport and 17 miles east of Bowdoin College.
Below are reviews of the city of Boothbay Harbor, ME from an actual visitor's perspective.
Beautiful Harbor town. Easy to get around.
Booth Bay Harbor is a quaint and cozy town with lots of things to do; beautiful sights!
Walkable area with plenty of restaurants, stores, and lovely views of the Harbor. Lots of opportunities to sail, whale watch, etc. The small yet informative and hands-on aquarium with lovely grounds enjoyed by kids and adults. Felt more like a livable Harbor and not just a tourist hub, with post office, library, homes.
The group dinner was awesome at McSeagulls's and our group enjoyed the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
Unfortunately, the area was in the middle of a terrible storm and we had to scrap our activities in Boothbay Harbor.
A lot of shops and restaurants are closed by the end of October which makes it a spooky place.
