The Gulf Shores center point is around the area of South Baldwin Theatre and the area of The Hangout.
Hotel rates increase during the summer months in Gulf Shores. Summer represents the peak of the visitation season, but you can still find excellent deals if you want to take advantage of the warm temperatures and abundant outdoor activities. Remember to pack plenty of sunscreen to protect your skin from the Alabama sun.
During the fall, Gulf Shores tourism slows, which means even more tranquility as well as lower hotel rates. The same goes for early spring, a time when you might need to put on a sweater or jacket for evening activities. Regardless, you'll still enjoy sunny weather for going to the beach during the day. Additionally, fall and spring festivals abound in Gulf Shores, so you might meet more locals and get a better sense of the flavor of this city if you visit during off-peak months.
Winters typically prove too cool for most travelers in Gulf Shores. While you might get plenty of sun, you probably won't feel comfortable getting in the water or lounging on the beach. However, if you enjoy deep-sea fishing, shopping, and indoor activities, you'll benefit from low hotel rates and few crowds between October and February.
If you're hoping to save a few dollars on lodging during your vacation in Gulf Shores, you're in luck. Many venues in town offer discounts for senior citizens, military veterans and service members, and members of AAA, CAA, and AARP. The Courtyard Gulf Shores Craft Farms, for instance, offers a discount of up to 15 percent for auto club members and special rates for senior citizens and early bookings.
If you're chasing group rates, the Beachside Resort Hotel and Magnuson Inn & Suites Gulf Shores both offer attractive deals. Your discount will depend on the season of your visit and the number of rooms you book for the event.
When you plan a family vacation or business trip, you'll want to save money, but you don't want to give up great deals. If you're chasing value in Gulf Shores, consider starting with the Country Hearth Inn Gulf Shores, which features rates starting at around $100 per night. This small, two-story venue features ample parking and simple but clean accommodations. The rooms are decorated with minimalist furnishings and colorful artwork to reflect the beach vibe in Gulf Shores.
Room rates at the Staybridge Suites Gulf Shores hover around $110 per night. Many travelers appreciate that rooms in this venue open to interior hallways, which can increase your sense of security. Additionally, this hotel offers amenities like in-room DVD players, laundry facilities, and a pet-friendly policy.
If you're planning a trip to Gulf Shores, you're likely looking forward to spending at least a few hours on the beach. While you might simply set up a lounge chair and grab the latest bestselling beach read, you can also take time to indulge in a few water-based attractions and activities.
For instance, Gulf Shores dolphin cruises give you an up close look at some of the most beautiful creatures of the sea. Don't forget your camera so you can capture the dolphins as they leap over the surface of the water.
If you love to fish, head to the Gulf State Park Pier. While you can always book a deep-sea fishing cruise adventure, the pier offers a more laid-back approach to fishing, and you can finish up your afternoon with a stroll along the beach.
No matter what your favorite activities may be, Gulf Shores offers many attractions and several hotel possibilities for your stay here. Select the ideal hotel or inn for your travel needs and start packing for your next beach vacation. Gulf Shores might become your go-to vacation destination each year.

It is easy to navigate, many great places to eat, especially the Island Grill, Pink Pony Pub, and (Sunshine?) Diner, lots of fun shopping and activities for family fun. We also enjoyed the State Park and Fort Morgan.
The beach is great!
Gulf Shores is tourist friendly as long as you don't break laws and respect property. The area has a Dollar General. Some shops in the outlets of the area sell nachos, hotdogs, etc. Eat well at the seafood restaurants at night. I had Mikee's nd it was good to a non-seafood eater. The seafood was well prepared. The HangOut was friendly to the young and entertaining- even to us adults.
